Daily Tidy Guide: Streaks, Badges and Achievements

The Daily Tidy is A Little to the Left’s daily puzzle mode: one fresh level every day, a streak counter and a set of badges and achievements for regular play. It is the part of the game you can keep coming back to long after the campaign, and the final Packed Update in June 2025 made it much friendlier. This guide explains how it works today and how to earn every Daily Tidy achievement.

How the Daily Tidy works

• One puzzle a day. Each day brings a new tidying puzzle. It usually takes a few minutes.
• Hints. Since the Packed Update, Daily Tidy levels have hints like regular levels.
• Streaks with a safety net. The same update added checkpoints and forgiveness for a missed day, so one forgotten evening no longer wipes out a long streak.
• Badges. Your dedication shows as badges that you can now customise. Badge ranks are tied to an achievement of their own.
• Special events. Some days are special event days with themed puzzles, counted separately for achievements.

How streak counting works

The consecutive-day achievements track your longest streak, not your current one. If a streak breaks, the counter keeps your best number and only rises again once a new streak goes past it. That explains a common worry: players who did thirty dailies with a gap in the middle see their counter stuck at an earlier number. It is not a bug; the streak simply has to be longer than your previous best.

The Steam list also contains Clean Streak, Routine Clean and Daring Duster in the Daily Tidy block without a public description. They come with continued Daily Tidy play, so they are not worth chasing separately.

Solving Daily Tidies quickly

• Identify the type first. Daily puzzles use the same building blocks as the campaign: ordering, packing, pattern continuation and symmetry. Name the type before you touch anything.
• Use the ends. In ordering puzzles, place the most extreme items at both ends, then fill the middle.
• Be careful with hints early on. If you are going for the hint-free campaign achievements, avoid Daily Tidy hints until that run is finished, to be safe. Afterwards, a hint is a good way to keep a streak alive on a busy day.
• Finish, then admire. The streak counts completed puzzles. Do not leave a solved puzzle open and forget to confirm it.

A realistic plan

1. Start early. The count achievements need 180 tidies, roughly six months of play. Begin on day one of your campaign, not after it.
2. Attach it to a habit. Morning coffee or the evening wind-down works well; the puzzle is short.
3. Aim for one clean 30-day streak. It covers all three streak achievements at once.
4. Do not skip event days. Special events are the slowest set to complete because they only appear on certain days.
