Seeing Stars Walkthrough, Part 1: Levels 1–11

Seeing Stars is the second premium expansion for A Little to the Left and is built entirely around multiple solutions. Part 1 of our walkthrough covers Levels 1 to 11, which together hold 37 of the expansion’s 100 stars. For each level you get every solution in plain words, plus the two achievements hidden in this stretch.

How Seeing Stars works

  • Stars, not chapters. The expansion has no chapters. Every level shows how many solutions it has, and each solution earns one star. There are 100 stars in total.
  • Layered difficulty. Most levels have one obvious solution and one or two that need close observation. You can move on after the first star and come back later.
  • Interactive objects. Many items can be pressed, folded, opened or shaken. If a level seems impossible, click every object once to see what changes.
  • Bonus levels. Five extra levels unlock at 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90 stars, so collecting alternate solutions is required, not optional.

Every solution, level by level

Level 1: Crackers 3 solutions

  • Bite marks: make three stacks in which the bite marks of every layer line up.
  • Shapes: stack by outline. The square cracker takes the square cheese and square leaf, the round cracker the tomato and olive, the octagonal cracker the shrimp and cucumber.
  • Texture: one stack for foods with seeds, one for foods with holes and one for everything else.

Level 2: Forks 5 solutions

  • Overall length, longest to shortest or the reverse.
  • Tine length, judged on the prongs only.
  • Bumps on the handle end, from none to the most.
  • Material and length: wooden handles on one side getting shorter, the half-wood fork in the middle and metal handles getting longer on the other side.
  • What is on the tines: the most food on one end, the clean fork in the centre and sparkles increasing from one to five on the other end.

Level 3: Mugs 4 solutions

  • Colour bands: stack the nine mugs so the horizontal colour bands run continuously across the grid.
  • Vertical lines: stack them so the carved vertical lines continue from mug to mug.
  • Body shape: one stack each for straight, curved and angular mugs.
  • Handles: group the square, round and ear-shaped handles, alternating their direction so no handles collide; the right-facing handles belong in the middle row.

Level 4: Corn on the Cob 4 solutions

  • Black kernels: rotate the cobs until the dark kernels form one wavy line.
  • Seasoning: rotate them so only the peppered side shows.
  • Eaten side: rotate them so every cob shows its fully bare side.
  • Partial bites: rotate them so the half-eaten rows step down diagonally across the cobs.

Level 5: Leaf Book 3 solutions

  • Pale outlines: place every leaf on its faint, lighter-coloured outline.
  • Ink blots: place every leaf so its holes sit over the ink blots.
  • Stacks: lay the four largest leaves on the inked outlines, then stack the smaller leaves of the same shape on top of them.

Level 6: Three Vases

The big centre vase has gaps. Pick up the smaller vases on either side, lift them high and drop them so they shatter. The shards fill the holes in the big vase exactly.

Level 7: Digital Pets 5 solutions

  • Keychain length from shortest to longest.
  • Screen height forming a staircase.
  • Body shape morphing step by step from a round egg into a duck.
  • Button shape changing from round to rectangular.
  • Sleep presses: press each pet’s button and count how many presses it needs to fall asleep, then order them by that number.

The last solution is the one most players miss. Making them all sleep is not enough; the order matters.

Level 8: Retro Electronics Box

Pack everything into the box. The VHS tapes sit so their coloured stripes join into one pattern, the cassettes go in order of title length and the phones go in order of height. The film belongs next to the camera, and the cables also go in the upper right.

Level 9: Sports Balls 3 solutions

  • Size, smallest to largest.
  • Sections: count the areas separated by seams, from the baseball with two up to the football with eleven.
  • Bounces: drop each ball and count its bounces, from the hacky sack that does not bounce to the basketball that bounces the most.

Level 10: Ice Cubes 4 solutions

  • Contents: one glass each for blueberry, strawberry and mint cubes.
  • Size: one glass each for cubes made of three, four and five blocks.
  • Water level: distribute the cubes so the water reaches the same height in every glass.
  • One glass: fit every cube into the middle glass like a block puzzle, cracks aligned.

For the achievement I’ll Take My Water Neat, remove every cube from every glass and leave them beside the glasses.

Level 11: Pizza 4 solutions

  • Equal slices: give every slice the same toppings, which means two peppers and two pepperoni each plus one of everything else.
  • Half and half: meat on one half, vegetables on the other.
  • One topping per slice: each of the six slices carries a different single topping.
  • Plain: take every topping off for a cheese pizza.

Piling every topping onto a single slice unlocks Top Heavy Slice.

Achievements in Levels 1–11

Achievement Level What to do
I’ll Take My Water Neat 10 Take all the ice out of all three glasses
Top Heavy Slice 11 Put every topping on one slice

A star did not appear?Seeing Stars levels are strict about leftovers. Make sure no item is still in your hand or resting at the screen edge, then nudge the last object you placed.
